How do you load games in a GBA SuperCard?

How do you load games in a GBA SuperCard? I recently purchased a GBA SuperCard (MiniSD Version). I've downloaded the SuperCard software from the site and "converted" my GBA Roms. I saved the Roms in my MiniSD. But when I put the MiniSD inside the SuperCard cartridge and activated the GBA, I can't see my games in the List. Do I have to download the firmware or something? When I "Self Test" the Cart, it says SC is running on 1.63. Do I have to update the firmware? If so, how? Please help.

answer: Hi!, Installing and loading games on the Supercard is painless and easy. It is probably the easiest flash cart to install because it does not require the installation of drivers. A CF card is a removable hard drive; therefore you simply plug it in, and drag and drop. The only small inconvenience is that to play the GBA games, they must be patched to work with the Supercard. Therefore, before dragging and dropping the GBA games onto your CF card, you must patch them with the Supercard software.

This software is downloadable from the official site. While patching to make the games compatible with the Supercard, the software gives you the option to add a reset button combination, add cheats, and compress your games. The software itself is relatively stable, however is has frozen on me a few times throughout my testing. The games are imported into a list, patched, and are exported to a given folder. While exporting without using the compression option, there is no progress bar, which is annoying because there is no way of knowing the amount of time before the job is done. However, when you compress your games, this problem is fixed and a time meter shows up. The compression option rocks and it has worked flawlessly throughout my testing.

Certain games are barely reduced, but others are cut down quite a bit, such as Mario Kart which was reduced to 2.62 Megabytes. Once the games were patched, transferring them to the CF card was very fast with my USB2.0 cable. USB2.0 cables are standard and cheap, which is great as it is faster than most other GBA flash carts. The major disadvantage with the Supercard is that the software must be upgraded frequently in order to keep up with the release of the new games. This means that although all the older games are supported, the newer games may not be. The Supercard developers are often upgrading their software to keep up, but it is inevitable that some newer games will not work.
